The DK Express has arrived in Beulah! It is comprised of four cars: the locomotive engine, two passenger cars and a caboose with the capacity to carry up to 22 children of all ages.
A nominal fee of $1.00 will be charged for the experience of a lifetime.

Fall Harvest Community Dinner
November 14th
New Hope Church of Christ in Benzonia invites families to come to Fall Harvest Dinner. 5pm at the church. Steaming bowls of chili & a variety of desserts will be provided. Families are also encouraged to enjoy the after dinner activities - caramel apples, a pinata, a hay ride, and some other fun, family fall activities. No cost for dinner. The church is at 6868 South St in Benzonia. Turn west off US 31. Memorial Park is across the street from the church.

Great Community Talk Festival
November 16th
This is a follow-up to Dr. Michael Collins presentation "Health Care Reform in America" and focuses on the increasing population that are now uninsured. Informative and factual presentation, "Health Care Opportunities For The Uninsured - What's Happening In Benzie County. 7:30 PM. at the Betsie Hosick Health & Fitness Center, 102 Airport Rd. Frankfort. The presentation will be free and any donations will be greatly appreciated.
Habitat for Humanity of Benzie County's Festival of Trees
November 27th- 29th
Friday & Saturday Noon - 8pm
and Sunday Noon to 4pm.
At the Benzie Area Historical Museum on Thanksgiving weekend. In this fundraiser for Habitat for
Humanity, over 50 Christmas trees and wreaths are displayed, all uniquely decorated by area charities, churches, businesses, school children & individuals. The public is welcome to bid on the trees and wreaths in a silent auction, or simply stop by to get decorating ideas and enjoy the feeling of the holiday. At the same time, the Benzie Area Historical Museum will have a special exhibit, "All Gussied Up, 1860-1950" which features mannequins dressed in formal, party, and special occasion clothing and accessories from the 19th & early 20th centuries. No charge, donations accepted to benefit both Habitat for Humanity and the Benzie Area Historical Society. For information, please call the museum at 231-882-5539.

POMH Auxiliary Holiday Charity Ball

Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is hosting their annual charity ball on at 5PM at Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa. Evening includes hors d'oeuvres, wine, dinner, dancing to the Clearwater Band, silent auction, "drop in the bucket" auction, and live auction. Reservations may be made by calling 231-352-8159 before November 24. Tickets $75 per person. Proceeds to benefit Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital and community health programs.
